john

Another lead from Hoss (day 49) who drew the directions without any words or numbers on a little yellow sticky note the day before. Via telephone I agreed with John to meet him at his house at 10 am today. And by when it was time to leave this morning I had lost the directions. To tell a long story short I was thirty minutes late. I was considering turning around to go find service and call Hoss when I drove past an opening with a white house. What caught my eye and caused me to stop is the fact that there were two people standing facing the road, waiting.

John (Arthur Cormier) and his wife welcomed me inside warmly. We sat down and he told me his story before going outside for photos. John was a prisoner of war for over seven years and is a highly decorated US Air Force vet. When I got home I googled his name and found an article written by Catherine Stone hosted on the Lovell Historical Society website.
